About the Job

Casual Shift (Bury)

Do you live in Bury? Are you in the Walmersley or Chesham areas? Are you a busy mother looking for a few hours to work to earn a living? You must be able to walk in and out, not require a car or bus, and live in the area.

Work 4 times a day for a total of 3.5 hours. Schedule:

  • Morning: 9:30 – 10:45 (1 hour 15 minutes)
  • Lunch: 13:30 – 13:45 (45 minutes)
  • Tea: 18:30 – 18:45 (45 minutes)
  • Bed: 20:30 – 21:15 (45 minutes)

Total: 3 hours 30 minutes a day. 5 days a week equals 17 hours.

A Day in the Life

  • Assist with personal care and support tasks, enabling service users to make informed choices and promote independence and dignity in line with their person‑centred care plan.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and service users, participating in wellbeing events and activities, and helping to promote a safe and engaging environment.
  • Communicate with other medical professionals and community stakeholders as required.

Support Services

Counselling: face‑to‑face or telephone counselling, including menopause specific counselling and support for anxiety and depression.

Legal Information: support with legal matters such as divorce, wills and probate, motoring issues, personal injury, and disputes that can cause emotional distress.

Medical Information: practical advice, guidance and support from qualified nurses for a wide range of medical‑related health issues.

Active Care: effective intervention on the first day a fit note is received for a stress‑related absence.
