Role Overview

A friendly and welcoming school in Bath is looking for teaching assistants who can work across all year groups to join them ASAP on an ongoing basis. The school is equipped with fantastic facilities, is well connected via public transport and has good car parking facilities.

The school is committed to preparing all of its pupils for adult life through setting high expectations and establishing firm boundaries. It aims to support the success of each student at every stage of their education, instilling a sense of achievement at all levels.

Responsibilities

The role is to support pupils who may have additional needs and require help accessing the curriculum. Your main duties will include carrying out interventions such as phonics, supporting children on a 1:1 basis, covering lunch‑time duties, and assisting the class teacher with delivering lessons and setting up the early‑years provision areas.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience in youth work or other child‑related fields.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Passion for working with children
  • Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential
  • Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with children across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Will be proactive and eager to carry out responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
