Overview

Learning Support Assistant

Salary: Thurrock Band A Point 1 – 6

(£16,858.17 – £18,043.82 per annum)

30 hours 25 minutes per week

Monday – Friday 8:25am – 3:00pm (30 min unpaid break)

37 weeks of the year – term time only

Fixed Term to 31st August 2027

Start Date: 3rd September 2026

Arthur Bugler Primary School wishes to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who has a good understanding of child development and learning and would be willing to support children with both their physical and academic needs.

You will have a passion for working with pupils and assisting them on their journey. You will need to understand the subjects that you support the children in, be able to demonstrate a fair attitude and apply rules consistently as well as be confident in adjusting learning programs to meet the child’s needs. You will be resilient, hardworking and have excellent de-escalation skills.

  • An enthusiastic team player with good classroom management and a commitment to safeguarding.
