About the Role
Conewood Children’s Centre is looking for a Part‑time (15 hours per week) Early Years Nursery Support Worker to work in our baby room from 08:00 to 11:00, Monday to Friday, term time only.
We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ setting located on Blackstock Road in Islington, offering three separate learning rooms for babies, toddlers and nursery aged children. The centre follows a trauma‑informed curriculum underpinned with ‘The Loving Pedagogy’ and celebrates diversity among children and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality care and early years education to baby‑age children in line with the centre’s curriculum.
- Work collaboratively as part of a committed team to support children’s development and well‑being.
- Support the daily running of the baby room, including preparation of activities, meal times, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Assist with the implementation of the centre’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Participate in regular training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of practice.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Desire and commitment to work in early years settings.
- Enthusiasm to deliver exceptional early years care and education.
- Relevant early years experience is preferred but not mandatory; we provide extensive and ongoing training.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and a successful DBS check at the appropriate level.
- Must meet pre‑employment checks including proof of address, right to work, overseas criminal record (if applicable), satisfactory references, occupational health clearance, evidence of professional qualifications or registrations, and a DBS check.
