Bank Community Support Worker – Band 3

We are seeking a dedicated Bank Community Support Worker to provide high quality care and support to service users within their own homes. This role offers flexible working across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, and is part of the Integrated Network Teams (INTs) that bring together nurses, therapists, paramedics and support workers to deliver holistic, person‑centred care.

Main duties of the job

  • Supporting service users with personal care and daily living activities in a community setting
  • Assisting registered professionals with delegated clinical and therapeutic tasks
  • Working collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team
  • Contributing to holistic, person‑centred care and rehabilitation plans
  • Helping to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for service users and carers
  • Reporting concerns and changes in a service user’s condition to senior staff
  • Developing your skills through paid training, supervision and in‑team support

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate

Experience:

  • Experience of direct patient care in a community setting
  • Experience in escalating changes to patients’ needs and/or health
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures and care plans
  • Experience supervising patients with personal and domestic living activities
  • Ability to work independently in patient homes within scope of practice
  • Communication skills for a range of service users with varied communication needs and cultural backgrounds
  • Record keeping of patient care in a clear and accurate manner
  • Experience of rehabilitation
  • Use of electronic patient record systems
  • Adaptations of mobility aids and fitting of basic aids

We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role and can only accept applications from UK based applicants.
