Job Introduction
Assisted and supported children and young people within Liverpool City Council’s Children and Young People’s Services as part of the 12‑month ASYE programme.
Responsibilities
- Provide newly qualified social workers with dedicated mentoring, support and supervision from your Team Supervisor and ASYE Academy Practice Lead.
- Attend monthly training sessions and engage in workshops and peer support to strengthen core skills.
- Participate in practice membership and access resources through the Regional Teaching Partnership.
- Manage a manageable caseload.
- Work within protected time for ASYE activities and portfolio completion.
- Work in either Assessment, Safeguarding or Permanence.
Role Requirements
- You are a newly qualified social worker who qualified in the last two years or will qualify within five months of applying.
- Social Work England (SWE) actively registered or in the process of applying.
- Good knowledge and understanding of all children’s legislation, statutory guidance and processes, ready to put this into practice in frontline Assessment, Safeguarding or Permanence.
- Ability to drive and own a vehicle or be actively learning to do so.
- Dedication and passion to deliver excellent services and improve outcomes for children and young people of Liverpool.
