Production Operative/FLT Driver

Purpose of the Job

The Shift Production Operator will perform a full range of duties within the production environment, working under the lead and direction of the Shift Team Leader.

Dimensions of the Job

• Work on a two‑shift schedule (Mornings and Afternoons rotating) as rostered by the company.
• Perform production tasks as directed by the Shift Team Leader.

Principal Accountabilities

• Fully competent in completing all production tasks assigned on a daily basis by the Shift Team Leader, including special cleaning and machine clean‑down.
• Accurately complete all necessary forms and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain motivation and production continuity in a continuous and demanding production process environment.
• Support colleagues to ensure the shift operates as a cohesive team.

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Training

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, particularly in an operational (shop floor) capacity.
• Strong understanding of company procedural requirements, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) requirements, and health and safety standards.
• Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance).

Remuneration

Basic rate is £12.71 plus a shift premium of £4.04 for 2 hours of morning shift and 4 hours of afternoon shift, increasing the pay rate for those hours to £16.75.
