About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join our Peripatetic Service at Delacy Gardens, Pontefract. This vital service operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, delivering high‑quality care to people in their own homes.

The post is for 24.50 hours per week.

You’ll work on a 4‑week rolling rota, including:

  • Morning shifts: 07:00 – 15:00
  • Evening shifts: 15:00 – 23:00
  • Weekends and bank holidays (enhanced pay rates apply)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes.
  • Promoting independence and person‑centred care i.e. washing/dressing/bathing/ toileting/meals & medication.
  • Working collaboratively with professionals and agencies.
  • Treating every person with dignity and respect.

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE Grades D–G in Maths and English or
  • Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
