Salary: £27,122 per annum

Overview
We currently operate six leisure centres and attractions across this historic waterfront city in partnership with Portsmouth City Council. Sharing the ambition to encourage a more active city we provide hundreds of activities for all ages and abilities to inspire greater participation in physical activity.
Centres include Pyramids in Southsea, Exploria, a supersized indoor soft play and bounce centre, and Mountbatten, the city’s flagship leisure and sports centre. A dedicated Tennis and Gymnastics Centre encourage grassroots participation and club-level athletes. A 50m swimming pool, athletics track, and velodrome provide a platform for sports clubs to train and compete.
You will carry out routine repairs and maintenance including maintaining water quality in accordance with current guidance.
Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance support across our BH Live Active sites in Portsmouth
- Carry routine repairs and maintenance work and respond to faults
- Carry out inspection checks across our Portsmouth sites
- Help diagnose issues and have a solution focused attitude
- Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements
- Participate in emergency call outs/alarm responses.
Qualifications
- A full driving licence
- Competency at basic building repairs and maintenance
- Working knowledge of basic carpentry, basic electrical, basic plumbing and furniture repair
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Team player with a positive attitude
Desirable: pool plant operators certificate, but this is not essential.
