Job Overview
Our client based in London is looking for a Trainee Electrical Installations Technician to work full time on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday, 39 hours a week with a slightly earlier finish on Friday (typically 8.00am to 4.30pm, flexible). Full driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities
As a Trainee Electrical Installations Technician you will: cover the North & North West of London and surrounding areas, deliver electrical equipment to commercial clients, be trained in installing, calibrating and fault diagnosing equipment on site, attend monitoring visits to ensure equipment continues to provide the required output, perform electrical repairs in the workshop, keep your vehicle clean, serviced and well equipped, participate in out‑of‑hours call‑out for breakdowns or emergencies on a rota basis, collect equipment at the end of hire terms, and complete all supporting duties as part of a busy team.
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Electrical qualifications such as NVQ in Electrical Installations or equivalent, with some electrical service or repair experience and basic knowledge of machinery control circuits, voltage/current measurements, and components
- Knowledge of single‑phase and 3‑phase electrical motors
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physically fit and able to lift when required
- Willingness to work at height when needed
- Must live in the N postcode area of London to be considered for the position
Benefits
Basic Salary: £27,000 plus a £2,000 allowance, company van, 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays, pension, possibility of overtime, on‑call rota allowance and more.
