Role Summary
Arnold Hill Spencer Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our experienced and supportive Learning Support Team on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role is a key part of our Inclusion Team and offers a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.
Responsibilities
Support young people with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, including autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, and challenges in literacy and numeracy.
Adapt to the evolving needs of students, providing proactive, flexible, and resilient support.
Assist with exam access arrangements, mentoring or coaching, and deliver subject support in Maths, Science or English as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in exam access arrangements, mentoring or coaching, or a background in sport.
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths, Science, or English.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to support students.
Application Requirements
All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced criminal records with Barred List Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and the completion of Level 2 Safeguarding training.
