THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit Production Operatives to work within a fast‑paced, high‑volume production setting in the Houghton le Spring area.

Our client operates a target‑driven environment and you will form part of a close knit team working to unload various machines. This is a physical role that requires lifting and standing for long periods on the shop floor.

The client is heavily ambitious, growing rapidly and has an excellent order book. This role is permanent from day one and offers stability, progression and excellent job security.

THE ROLE

• Load and unload machinery
• Quality‑check parts via visual inspections
• Use air guns to complete very basic assembly tasks
• Load parts onto jigs and undertake basic machine checks
• Work towards targets based on output and quality

THE PERSON

• Able to work on feet for 8 hours a day and physically fit to undertake machine loading and unloading duties
• Target‑orientated
• Ability to use basic air‑powered tools preferred, although training can be given
• Able to follow SOPs and work instructions
• Punctual and reliable
• Having own transport is beneficial due to the shift pattern
