Job Description:

Manpower UK is seeking Production Support Operators to join a leading coatings manufacturer in Gateshead. This temporary role offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.62 to £14.62, plus a shift allowance. Based at the Felling site, you will work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends.

Day shifts run Monday to Thursday with an early or late pattern, and Friday with a morning or afternoon finish. Night shifts operate Sunday through Friday.

Your responsibilities will involve supporting production lines, handling materials, and ensuring efficient workflow within a manufacturing environment. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Pay

Day Rate: £12.71 per hour + £98.85 weekly shift allowance

Night Rate: £12.71 per hour + £197.72 weekly shift allowance

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our highly flexible and skilled team at an international manufacturing plant in Felling. As a Production Support Operator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our manufacturing team has all the materials needed to achieve production performance targets. You’ll follow standard operating procedures and use continuous improvement methodologies to enhance performance in Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for your work, your safety, and the safety of your colleagues.
  • Follow HSE rules and procedures for all tasks.
  • Maintain product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Operate within systems and procedures safely, using escalation processes effectively.
  • Drive FLTs to load and unload vehicles.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business and its operations.
