Are you an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in Tewkesbury that is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join its warehouse and distribution team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy operation where no two days are the same. Working within a chilled warehouse environment, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
This is a temporary position with the opportunity of going permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving stock throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations
- Carrying out stock rotation and replenishment activities
- Assisting with order picking when required
- Ensuring stock is stored correctly and safely
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and following health & safety procedures
- Working within a chilled warehouse environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of warehouse health & safety procedures
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Important Licence Requirement
Please note that in-house forklift licences will not be considered. Applicants must hold a valid, externally accredited Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence from a recognised training provider.
Desirable
- Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution environments
- Experience working in chilled warehouse operations
- Knowledge of stock control and warehouse systems
