We are seeking a proactive and hands‑on Maintenance Technician / Engineer to join our team at our Campsie site, Derry/Londonderry. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production equipment, helping to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and carrying out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
  • Conducting root cause analysis to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records, service logs and calibration documentation.
  • Liaising with OEMs and specialist contractors when required.
  • Supporting the implementation of TPM and 5S initiatives.
  • Maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns and supporting production teams to minimise downtime.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental and statutory regulations, including PUWER and LOLER.
  • Managing spare parts inventory and technical documentation.
  • Training and supporting operators with daily equipment checks and basic maintenance activities.

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, proactive and solution‑focused approach.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, including mornings, afternoons and nights.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience working with CNC, automated manufacturing equipment, Punch or Press Brake machinery.
  • Knowledge of TPM, PPM systems and CMMS software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
