Support Worker – Rosewood Court – Lisburn

Salary: £12.70 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week (3 x 13 hours) or 26 hours per week (2 x 13 hours)

Contract: Permanent

As a Support Worker at our Rosewood Court service in Lisburn, you’ll be at the heart of that mission, providing hands‑on care and emotional support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in day‑to‑day life at Rosewood Court, where your support makes a real difference. This is a varied, rewarding, and physically active role that involves:

  • Personal care: including showering, bathing, changing, toileting, etc.
  • Practical care: feeding support, assistance with drinks and medication.
  • Daily living: laundry, cleaning, general house maintenance, and completing daily notes.
  • Relationship‑building: offering emotional support and helping to create a calm, homely environment.
  • Behavioural support: engaging in personal safety techniques where required and working in line with individual risk assessments.

We’re looking for compassionate, resilient individuals who are able to:

  • Work calmly and confidently in a service that may involve incidents of behaviours that challenge.
  • Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to keep everyone safe.
  • Provide practical care with warmth, kindness and dignity.
  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with the people we support.

You don’t need previous experience, just the right values and a commitment to making a difference.

Training and Support

All new staff will receive full training on personal care and positive behaviour support, including how to safely use personal safety techniques in line with our organisational training.

We also offer:

  • Award‑winning induction and development programmes.
  • Regular supervision and peer support.
  • Clear progression pathways for long‑term careers in care.

Benefits

We offer:

  • Competitive pay and conditions.
  • Generous annual leave.
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Occupational sick pay and pension.
  • Health cash plan.
  • Cycle‑to‑work scheme and retail discounts.
  • A supportive, values‑led team culture.

If you’re passionate about making a difference and think this sounds like the role for you, we’d love to hear from you.
