Enablement Support Worker – Derbyshire County Council

Derbyshire County Council are looking for an Enablement Support Worker to join our short‑term reablement team, working within local communities in Bolsover. The role focuses on supporting clients in their own homes to regain full or partial independence.

Training and Experience

No previous care work experience or qualifications are required, as we provide structured training to ensure our staff can flourish in their social care careers.

Responsibilities

The role involves working as part of a multi‑professional team to promote independence through personal care, mobility, medication, meal preparation and goal‑focused care planning. You will provide wrap‑around support, collaborate with colleagues, and receive regular support and supervision from senior staff.

Working Hours and Pay

24‑hour post with a rota basis and a 6‑hour shift pattern. Work 4 days a week, with opportunities for additional hours. Unsocial hours, including weekends and bank holidays, are required; night work may be required with agreement. Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time, unless between 7 pm and 7 am, when enhanced rates apply. Enhanced pay rates also apply to bank holiday working. Payment arrangements will be detailed in the contract offer.
