Technician Supervisor

What You Will Do

Our prestigious Chiltern Depot based in Dunstable, is currently looking for a qualified HGV Technician Supervisor with excellent diagnostic and mechanical skills to work rotating shifts.

Working 44 hours Mon-Fri 06:00 to 16:00 and 12:00 – 22:00 (1 hr unpaid lunch break). Fridays will be 1 hour less 06:00‑15:00 and 12:00‑21:00. Saturdays as required.

Pay: c£23.50 per hour and overtime at time and a half.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload
• Liaise with the Workshop Manager regarding shift staff, training needs, KPI’s etc
• Diagnosis and repair of vehicles
• Servicing of vehicles to a high standard
• Participation in call out and breakdown rota – if/when required
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately

Essential Qualifications And Knowledge

• C&G or NVQ3 HGV Technician qualification
• Electrical and Mechanical skills and experience
• Good understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment
• Clean Driving Licence – HGV would be an advantage
