About This Role
Working hours: Part time, 3 days per week 07:30 – 16:00 Monday to Wednesday.
The Role
The Estates department oversees the maintenance of buildings and grounds, and manages new building projects. The Estates Coordinator provides central administrative support for the department and its managers. The role includes acting as the main point of contact for staff, handling enquiries and forwarding messages to relevant team members. Responsibilities also involve maintaining the maintenance computer system, logging maintenance issues, monitoring job progress, and highlighting issues to managers. Administration tasks will include handling post, ordering stationery, providing secretarial support to managers, and processing invoices. This varied role offers insight into upkeep of this vibrant and historic organisation.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent office administrative skills and efficient customer service skills to deal with enquiries and refer issues promptly.
- Experience working in a busy office with strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks with short deadlines.
- Attention to detail useful for organising invoices and maintaining a reliable maintenance database.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a tactful, approachable manner.
- Experience with a maintenance computer database preferred.
