Support Worker – Bishop Auckland

Mencap is seeking Support Workers to join our team in Bishop Auckland. The role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities by assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Assist tenants with daily activities.
• Provide emotional and social support.
• Support up to 4 tenants; sleep‑ins may be required.
• Drive as required.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract & Working Hours

• 16‑hour position.
• Part‑time: flexible hours based on availability.
