Humble Grape Canary Wharf is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Manager to join our team and help deliver the exceptional guest experience we’re known for.
This isn’t just an operational role, it’s a genuine stepping stone. We’re looking for someone with ambition, who wants to grow, learn the business from the inside, and carve a clear path toward senior management.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the General Manager in running smooth, high-quality daily operations
- Leading the floor during service and stepping up when it counts
- Championing Humble Grape’s standards for wine, food, and guest experience
- Coaching and developing the team, setting the tone for culture and professionalism
- Getting hands-on exposure to P&L, team scheduling, and site performance
- Helping drive commercial results without ever compromising the guest experience
- Being a consistent, trusted presence your team can rely on
What We’re Looking For
- Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a quality-focused venue
- A natural leader who leads by example and brings out the best in people
- Genuine passion for hospitality, wine, and creating memorable guest moments
- Ambition, you want to grow, and you’re ready to put the work in
- Strong operational awareness and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- An interest in wine (WSET qualifications are a bonus, but not essential)
- Full right to work in the UK
