At M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations, you’ll be the backstage powerhouse of our stores. It’s a physically demanding, high‑intensity role that keeps our stores running like clockwork.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stock, deliveries, and all the vital behind‑the‑scenes work that ensures the shop floor stays full, clean, and ready for customers.
  • Maintain product flow with urgency and accuracy.
  • Work across the wider store where needed, keeping up with the pace and demands of retail.
  • Use digital tools confidently to track deliveries and manage stock efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across functions and support staff throughout the store.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting stock and early‑morning deliveries, staying flexible.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work within the specified work pattern.
  • Strong digital confidence for stock and delivery management.
  • Team player who can work across functions and support colleagues.
  • Fast, focused, and always one step ahead, maintaining speed and accuracy.
