Thera East Midlands has an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker based in Ashbourne. This is a permanent role, with full-time, part-time and relief hours available. The hourly rate is £13.10.

Role Overview

As a valued Support Worker, you will be part of an inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals in achieving their personal goals and to live the lives they choose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support adults with learning disabilities in daily living activities.
  • Assist with the development of new skills, personal and emotional support.
  • Help plan and manage individuals’ home and leisure activities.
  • Assist with travel and community outings.
  • Participate in team meetings and training.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • No previous experience or qualifications required; full Skills for Care endorsed training will be provided.
  • Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Self‑starter with a high level of motivation.
  • Keenness to learn and creatively solve problems in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Desire to embrace our values and vision.
