What do we expect from a Maintenance Assistant?
- Assist with the delivery, assembly, and installation of new bedroom furniture.
- Support furniture replacement and refurbishment projects across the hotel.
- Move, position, and install furniture safely and efficiently within guest bedrooms and other hotel areas.
- Carry out minor repairs and adjustments to furniture as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Work closely with the Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to minimise disruption to hotel operations.
- Report any issues, defects, or project delays to the Maintenance Manager.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Provide general maintenance support related to furniture installation projects as required.
What we are looking for?
- Positive, ‘can do’ attitude.
- Experience of general property maintenance, including electrical. Hotel maintenance experience is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work regulations.
- The ability to work as part of a team or independently, as required.
- The ability to respond to queries quickly and problem solve effectively.
