Group Premises Maintenance Technician

Full Time Permanent, All Year Round (37 hours per week). Grade 4, Spinal Point 6, £25,989 per annum (£13.47 per hour). South Staffordshire Learning Partnership.

The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective maintenance and janitor support to the South Staffordshire Learning Partnership schools, including Bilbrook CE Middle School, Codsall Community High School, Lane Green First School, Perton Middle School & St Chads CE First School. Responsibilities include ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained to required standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the school premises and buildings to a high standard, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Carrying out ground inspections, statutory compliance checks, and keeping accurate records.
  • Responding to emergencies such as burst or leaking pipes, isolating water supplies and cleaning affected areas.
  • Ensuring drains, gullies and external areas are clear, safe and well maintained.
  • Undertaking minor repairs, maintenance and projects as required.
  • Supporting portage duties, including the movement of furniture and equipment.
  • Willing to undertake a minibus driving test and drive the school minibus for educational visits and sporting events.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous caretaking/site or maintenance experience preferred.
  • Practical skills across maintenance and repairs.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Reliable, proactive, and flexible approach.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
