Pay: £20,974

About the School & Role
In this role you will be working as a Learning Support Assistant in a specialist setting, supporting children with moderate learning needs, including autism, in a structured and nurturing environment. The school provides personalised, inclusive education for pupils aged 7-16, with a strong focus on communication, independence and emotional wellbeing. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning activities, support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, and help implement individual education and behaviour plans. Daily responsibilities include adapting resources to meet a range of needs, using visual and sensory strategies, supporting communication development, and assisting pupils with transitions throughout the day. You will also help manage behaviour in a calm, consistent manner, encourage positive interactions, and provide emotional reassurance, playing a key role in creating a safe and engaging environment where every child can learn and thrive.
