Learning Support Assistants – Full Time
Make every day count—for children who need you most. A specialist SEN school is seeking full-time Learning Support Assistants to join their dedicated team supporting pupils with autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). This is a full-time, term-time role with an immediate start.
The Role
As a General Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with class teachers and therapists to provide consistent, compassionate support across the school day. You’ll help create a safe, stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support (max. 8 pupils per class)
Assist with personal care, sensory integration, and communication needs
Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies
Foster independence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
Work collaboratively with teachers, LSAs, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting children with autism and/or PMLD (school or care settings)
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Confidence with personal care and physical support needs
A genuine passion for inclusive education and making a difference
