Despatch Operative

Job Details

• Pay: £16.10 per hour
• Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, Days (9:00am – 5:00pm), with flexibility on start and finish times
• Duration: Temporary (Approximately 2 weeks, with potential for extension for the right Despatch Operative)

Job Role

As a Despatch Operative, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within a busy manufacturing environment. The Despatch Operative will handle incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods, operate forklift trucks, arrange transport for deliveries, and ensure full compliance with health & safety and quality procedures at all times.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Despatch Operative or Warehouse Operative within a fast-paced despatch environment
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
• Ability to work independently without direct supervisionPhysically fit and capable of lifting up to 20kg
• Good level of PC literacy within a manufacturing setting

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Clamp truck licence
• Experience in a similar Despatch Operative role within manufacturing
