Join Our Team – Skilled Assembly Operative Wanted (Chelmsford)

Are you hands‑on, detail‑focused, and ready to build a career in precision assembly? We’re looking for a dedicated Assembly Operative to join our fast‑paced, high‑quality production team in Chelmsford.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working from production documents, procedures, and assembly drawings
• Building a wide variety of assemblies – no two days are the same
• Using mechanical tools, soldering equipment, and electrical test gear
• Handling fine, delicate work including precise wire crimping
• Operating automated equipment and ensuring calibration standards are met

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
• Comfortable handling different types of assembly tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible for overtime when needed
• A team player who works well alongside others
• Good eyesight (not colour blind) for precision tasks
• Confident using lifting equipment and pallet trucks
• Willing to wear PPE and follow safety procedures
• Comfortable working seated or standing as required

Key Skills That Will Make You Shine

• Experience with mechanical assembly tools
• Skilled in fine wire crimping and lead‑free soldering
• Confident using electrical test equipment
• IT experience is highly advantageous
• Familiar with automated machinery and equipment calibration

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Friday: 6:30 am – 12:30 pm (early finish)
