About You

You will undertake the inspection, maintenance, repair and cleansing of bus stops, shelters and public spaces across the borough, helping to ensure that public assets are safe, clean and accessible for residents and visitors. This will include identifying and reporting defects, carrying out minor repairs and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all locations.

You will carry out a range of practical maintenance and grounds duties, including litter picking, graffiti removal, grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and weed control, supporting the delivery of a high‑quality public realm.

The role involves the safe use and operation of vehicles, tools and powered equipment, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety requirements, safe working practices and service standards.

You will also support the wider Parks Delivery Team with a variety of operational activities across the borough, working collaboratively to deliver efficient, customer‑focused services and maintaining accurate records where required.

Qualifications

  • Experience of practical outdoor maintenance, cleansing or grounds maintenance duties.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices, including Health & Safety and manual handling.
  • Experience using hand and power tools and carrying out basic repairs.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support wider operational activities.
  • A flexible approach to work and willingness to travel across the borough.
  • A full UK driving licence.
