This is afull-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference during an important stage of a child’s learning and development.

About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support a KS1 pupil on a1:1 basis, helping them engage with classroom activities, follow routines, and build confidence in their learning. You will play an important role in encouraging positive participation and supporting the child both academically and socially.
This position would suit someone patient, nurturing, and adaptable who enjoys working with younger children.
Key Responsibilities
Providing1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with additional learning needs
Supporting the child to access classroom learning and activities
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
Assisting with classroom routines, transitions, and structured learning tasks
Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Working closely with theclass teacher and SENCOto support the child’s development
Promoting positive behaviour and social interaction
The Ideal Candidate
Experience supporting children in aprimary school or childcare setting
Apatient, caring, and positive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
EnhancedDBS on the Update Service(or willingness to apply)
