Role Overview
As a Customer Assistant in a John Lewis shop, you will deliver outstanding customer service, maintain exceptional shop standards, and support your team across various tasks. You will be a face of our brand, building loyalty with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
- Use product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits.
- Put the customer at the heart of everything, proactively acknowledging and resolving queries.
- Support the wider team flexibly, including till, stock replenishment, price ticketing, and shop‑keeping tasks.
- Identify improvement areas and implement solutions.
- Support accurate stock counts to protect profits.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Basic IT literacy.
- Strong communication skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in a customer‑facing role (welcome but not essential).
- Merchandising and product display experience.
