Role Overview
Shift Maintenance Technician – responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting equipment at customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and support equipment within the agreed scope of contract.
- Ensure delivery of KPI targets to Dematic and customer expectations.
- Perform AMHE equipment servicing per quality standards and time schedules.
- Conduct scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC, and PC faults and undertake repairs.
- Prioritize system faults and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Record all work accurately and maintain timely reporting.
- Participate in continuous improvement and enhancement opportunities.
- Maintain product flow and on‑site spare parts inventory.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain customer relations.
- Adhere to quality processes and procedures set by the company.
Qualifications
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering background (ONC preferred).
- IOSH working safely certification (desirable).
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic technical manuals and drawings.
- Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs.
- Experience with pre‑preventive maintenance schedules.
- Working knowledge of FEM and BS standards for automated warehousing.
- Experience with conveyor systems.
- Good PC literacy.
- Willingness to work at height.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
