What you will do
- Support the Team Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the Family Help Team, ensuring the delivery of statutory children’s services.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and professional guidance to Social Workers, ASYEs, and Family Support Workers.
- Oversee and quality assure casework across Early Help, Child in Need, Child Protection, and care proceedings to maintain high standards.
- Lead on complex cases, providing safeguarding oversight and contributing to key decisions to ensure child safety.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Completion of ASYE programme.
- Relevant leadership or supervisory training is desirable.
Registration and Compliance
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Public Law Outline.
- Understanding of safeguarding frameworks, Early Help, and contextual safeguarding practices.
