As the first point of contact for visitors, colleagues and external stakeholders, you will play a vital role in creating a professional, welcoming and well‑organised environment within our central office. This full‑time on‑site role is part of the CEO Office and supports the smooth day‑to‑day running of the office, ensuring a safe, compliant and well‑maintained workplace for everyone.
Hours, salary and location
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Salary: £26,607, with progression to £29,378 per annum. Location: On‑site – Waterside House, Sunderland Enterprise Park, SR5 2TZ.
Main duties
- Coordinate front‑of‑house and reception services
- Answer and manage the main phone line
- Oversee office administration and facilities management
- Support compliance activities
- Manage complaints and compliments
- Maintain organisational trackers and coordinate policy review schedules
- Keep key organisational priorities on track

Qualifications and experience
- Experience in a reception, office coordination or administrative role
- Experience dealing with members of the public and managing telephone enquiries
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, friendly and approachable manner with outstanding customer‑service skills
- Experience handling sensitive or confidential information appropriately
- Good administrative skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection requirements
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team
- Proactive approach to problem solving and maintaining accurate records
- It would be advantageous to have experience in health, social care or public sector environments, coordinating complaints or governance processes, or supporting facilities and office management activities
