Production Operative (Float Operator)
Location: Perth (Lawgrove Place)
Salary: £14.08 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm
Double Day Shift. Duration: Temporary Ongoing with Permanent Opportunities.
We’re looking for a Production Operative (Float Operator) to join a busy and well-established manufacturing site in Perth. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to keep operations running smoothly, with a role that gives you exposure to multiple areas of production and the chance to build a wide range of skills.

The Role
As a Float Operator, you will support multiple areas of production, helping maintain efficiency and high-quality output.
- Carrying out bonding, cutting and grinding processes
- Operating test beds and heating lamps
- Supporting different production areas as required
- Assisting with machine operation and basic set-up
- Following standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Performing quality checks on materials and finished products
- Recording production data accurately
- Identifying and reporting faults or inconsistencies
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace
- Working to targets within a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience working with machinery or technical processes (desirable)
- Good IT skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Physically able to carry out manual handling tasks
