Role: Specialist Outreach Worker
Salary: £13.85 per hour
Location: London and surrounding areas
Hours: 21 hours per week. Availability to work a variety of day shifts across weekdays and weekends.

About the role
You will be expected to work a variety of different shifts which will also include morning, afternoon, evening and occasional night shifts (nights depending on the needs of clients) and weekends. You will also be expected to work bank holidays.

Role responsibilities include developing supportive relationships with clients, providing emotional support, supporting clients in independent skills, developing personalised plans and ensuring a professional service is maintained. You will liaise with statutory authorities, social workers and other professionals to access referrals and review cases.
Requirements: ability to communicate in British Sign Language (minimum Level 2 BSL), knowledge of the deaf community and mental health issues, NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate. Knowledge of safeguarding, working with young people, adults at risk or adults in crisis is helpful but not essential. Understanding of sensitive data handling, GDPR regulations, care regulations and the CQC is required.
