Primary Teacher
Location: Canterbury, KentSalary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)Start date: ASAPContract: Full-time, Long-term
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher to join our well‑established junior school in Canterbury. The role involves leading a Key Stage 2 class, delivering a high‑quality curriculum, and supporting students to reach their full potential in a warm and inclusive environment. Our school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted for its commitment to pupil well‑being and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress, using data to inform future planning and targeted support.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support each child’s development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral initiatives.
Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching in a UK primary school, preferably within Key Stage 2.
- Possess a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Meet GSL’s safer recruitment background checks.
- Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
