Salary: Grade 3, £20,235 per annum. £13.26 per hour

35 hours per week, term time, working 38 weeks per year

Temporary until 31st August 2027

Required for September 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive primary school family. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant setting supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

You will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom, helping pupils to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the learning and development of pupils across the primary age range
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support SEND needs
  • Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusive practice
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing
  • Help to create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • Be patient, positive and supportive
  • Have good communication and teamwork skills
  • Be adaptable and able to meet the needs of different learners
  • Have experience working with children with SEND
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
  • Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant)
