Hours and Schedule

22.5 hours per week ideally scheduled Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 12:00 or 08:00 to 12:30, covering post‑mortem work. Hours can be discussed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed post‑mortem examinations ensuring meticulous documentation of findings.
• Prepare and maintain the mortuary and post‑mortem equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with the management and care of deceased patients with empathy and respect.
• Liaise effectively with medical staff and external agencies regarding post‑mortem procedures and requirements.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining compliance with legal and professional standards.
• Record and manage data with accuracy, contributing to robust record‑keeping and reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 APT Diploma required; Level 4 desirable but not essential.
• Two years of experience in a similar role.
• Valid HCPC registration.
• Car driver preferable for ease of travel to various sites.
