Location: Tyseley, Birmingham (B11)

Hourly rate: £16.97 per hour PAYE or £22.00 per hour CIS

Hours: 40 hours per week + overtime available

Start date: 22/06/2026

Minimum assignment: 12 months

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Grab Driver to join a major civil engineering and infrastructure project in the West Midlands. This is a great opportunity for a skilled driver with grab lorry experience to secure long‑term work with excellent rates and overtime opportunities.

The Role

• Operating an HGV Class 2 grab lorry on construction and infrastructure sites
• Loading, transporting, and unloading materials safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
• Ensuring compliance with all road transport and site safety regulations
• Working across multiple sites throughout the West Midlands

Essential Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Grab Loader / HIAB Certification (ALLMI or NPORS preferred)
• CSCS Card

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience operating grab lorries
• Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Emergency First Aid at Work (desirable)
• Flexibility to travel between sites and work away from home if required

• Overtime paid at 1.33x rate after 8 hours and weekends
