BDS Recruitment are currently looking for a Youth Development Worker to work within the St Austell area. We are looking for someone innovative and creative in their ways of working to engage with a range of young people.
The role will be based in supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25.
Main duties include
- Provide one-to-one key worker support to young people aged 16-25.
- Develop and review support and action plans tailored to individual goals.
- Update and manage risk assessments and risk management plans.
- Support young people with tenancy and housing management.
- Assist with benefits applications (e.g., Universal Credit, PIP, Housing Benefit).
- Guide young people in budgeting, paying bills, and managing finances.
- Explore and support pathways into education, training, and employment.
- Collaborate with external agencies (mental health, domestic violence services, landlords, etc.).
- Help young people prepare for independent living and successful move‑on.
Hours per week: 37 hours on a Rota pattern.
Contract: Temp ongoing role.
Pay rate: £15.34ph PAYE or £19.90 umbrella.
Please note you will require your own transport for this role and any mileage will be paid at 45p per mile.
