Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable).
- Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and performance skills.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Organise and support school productions, performances, and enrichment activities.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and the Performing Arts department.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and student wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners to support student achievement.
Person Specification (Essential)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Studies, or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
