Drama Teacher

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that foster creativity, confidence, and self-expression while supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable).
• Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and performance skills.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
• Organise and support school productions, performances, and enrichment activities.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and the Performing Arts department.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and student wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners to support student achievement.

Person Specification (Essential)

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Studies, or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
