Alternative Provision (PRU) Teacher

The Education Specialists (TES) are seeking an experienced and committed Alternative Provision (PRU) Teacher to join a school in Manchester, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and additional needs to access learning and achieve their potential. This is a full‑time, long‑term position within a specialist Alternative Provision (PRU) provision. The school focuses on personalised learning and pupil wellbeing, offering a meaningful opportunity for a teacher to make a positive impact.

Role Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND & challenging behaviour
  • Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Experience supporting needs such as ASD, SEMH, MLD or complex needs
  • Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

What the Successful Teacher Will Do

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
  • Support pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs
  • Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
  • Work closely with the SENCO and wider support team
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
