Job Overview

HGV Class 1 Driver for AM & PM shifts, contract based in Rushden.

Responsibilities

• Drive curtain sider vehicles nationwide for depot‑to‑depot deliveries.
• Assist with trailer movements in the yard.
• Strap and secure loads.
• Execute a normal shift consisting of a couple of drops and a reload.

Shift Times

• AM shift starts 04:00 – 06:00.
• PM shift starts 16:00 – 20:00.
• Shifts last 10 – 13 hours.
• Client operates 7 days a week, AM & PM on Saturdays & Sundays.

Compensation

• PAYE Only.
• Hourly rates: £18.00 per hour Monday‑Friday (days) – £20.17 inc holiday pay.
• Hourly rates: £19.00 per hour Monday‑Friday (nights) – £21.29 inc holiday pay.
• Hourly rates: £20.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday – £22.41 inc holiday pay.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence required (Class 1 & 2, 7.5 tonne, van).
• CE driver licence.
• Minimum 1 year UK driving experience.
