Apprenticeship Overview
- Apprenticeship Level: Level 3 (A Level equivalent)
- Duration: 18 months
- Annual Wage: National minimum apprenticeship wage https://www.gov.uk/become-apprentice/pay-and-conditions
- Working Hours: 35 hours per week
- Schedule: 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, Term time only plus specific days
What You Will Be Doing
- As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
- Supporting children in their learning and helping them stay on task.
- Assisting with pupils’ personal care, hygiene, and welfare where required.
- Building positive relationships and acting as a role model.
- Preparing and clearing classrooms and supporting displays.
- Assisting with behaviour management during lessons, breaks, and clubs.
- Providing general administrative support.
Training & Qualification
- You will receive day-to-day guidance from an experienced mentor, alongside structured training delivered by Northumberland County Council.
- Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Career Progression
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for continued employment within Pele Trust, depending on school needs and available positions.
