The School and Role
A Primary School located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work full-time from September 2026. This role will involve working across the school from EYFS to KS2, covering classes and PTA time. The successful HLTA will deliver foundation subjects throughout the week and will be responsible for planning in line with the school’s marking and assessment policies. This is a larger than average school with excellent transport links from the city centre.
Requirements (Responsibilities)
- Preferably have experience working across EYFS to KS2.
- Hold a Level 5 Teaching Qualification or above.
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have a friendly and enthusiastic personality.
- Have the ability to offer differentiated learning and support pupils with SEND.
