About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Mental Health & Autism Team within Adult Social Care at Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with strong leadership capabilities and substantial experience supporting adults with mental health needs and autism.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality social work interventions, supporting complex casework, and contributing to effective team performance within a fast-paced adult social care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant Social Work qualification.
• Registered with the appropriate professional body.
• Proven experience working within Adult Social Care.
• Significant experience supporting adults with Mental Health needs and Autism.
• Previous management, supervisory, or senior practitioner experience.
• Strong assessment, safeguarding, risk management, and care planning skills.
• Ability to manage complex cases and provide professional guidance where required.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
