The provision will support a small group of Key Stage 2 pupils working significantly below age‑related expectations, primarily at around Year 1 learning levels. - Plan and deliver bespoke learning programmes for up to 9 pupils with additional needs.
- Lead cognition and learning interventions during mornings and SEMH‑focused support during afternoons.
- Develop and review Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs), contribute to EHCP documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning, communication and emotional needs.
- Work closely with families, external agencies and school staff to support positive outcomes.
- Promote inclusion by facilitating successful integration into mainstream classrooms where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
- Strong understanding of personalised learning, EHCP processes and SEND paperwork.
- Excellent behaviour management and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt strategies to meet individual needs.
- Previous special school experience is welcomed but not essential.
- This role is not suitable for ECTs.
Why Apply?
- Opportunity to shape and develop a brand‑new inclusion provision.
- Work closely with an experienced and supportive SENDCo.
- Small‑group teaching with dedicated TA support.
- Long‑term opportunity with potential for permanent employment.
- Make a genuine difference to pupils requiring specialist support while maintaining mainstream inclusion.
