What you will do

  • Screen and triage safeguarding referrals, undertake risk assessments, and determine thresholds for intervention
  • Lead on Section 42 safeguarding enquiries where required, ensuring timely and proportionate responses
  • Collaborate within the Multiple Agency Safeguarding Hub, sharing essential information with police, NHS, housing, and voluntary sector partners
  • Apply the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding policies in decision-making
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance to referrers, partner agencies, and internal teams on safeguarding concerns

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England

Registration & Compliance

  • Current registration with Social Work England is essential
  • Understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act, and Equality Act 2010
  • Proficiency in safeguarding adults procedures and multi-agency working frameworks
